TAEONA

Data deletion

No request code was supplied. If you asked Facebook or Instagram to delete your TAEONA data, follow the link they gave you — it carries the code. What a deletion request does either way is below.

Deleting one connected account

When you press Disconnect in the app, when you remove TAEONA in your Instagram or Facebook settings, or when Facebook or Instagram sends us a deletion request, we delete that installation: the stored access token, the account handle and id, the pages, channels, boards or locations it offered, and anything synced from it. The older copy of a Meta token, written to the connections table the previous publisher read, goes with it. Any post still queued for that account is cancelled at the same time, so nothing goes out afterwards.

Removing TAEONA in your Instagram or Facebook settings, or asking for your data to be deleted, also clears the record of what was published through that account. That record then keeps only that a post went out, when, and who approved it: the account's id, the ids of those posts and their links are removed — whether the request reaches us from Facebook or Instagram or by email. Pressing Disconnect in the app does not clear it: it stays as your workspace's record of what was published on your behalf, with the post ids and links (a link can show the account's username), until the post or the workspace is deleted, as the privacy policy describes, or until you ask us to clear it.

What is not deleted is the rest of the workspace — the brand kit, the product catalogue, the generated content and the calendar. Removing a connected account is not a request to erase the work.

Deleting everything

Use Delete account in the app. It removes your user record and every workspace where you are the only member, including the generated images and video. A small number of records are kept on purpose, and they are listed under “How long we keep it” in the privacy policy — the main ones are the feedback you sent us, sign-in and invitation records, the log of who authorised automatic publishing, and, once billing is switched on, the record of payments.

Asking us by email

If you cannot reach the controls — or you never had a TAEONA account and your details reached us inside a customer's content — email hello@taeona.com with the subject Data Deletion Request. Tell us the account email, and the workspace or connected handle if you know it, and say whether you want one connection's data removed or the whole account closed. If this is about you appearing in someone else's content, say which content or account, so we can find it and, where we must, work with that customer.

Do not send a password, an access token, card details or identity documents. We verify a request proportionately and will ask only for what is needed to establish who you are or what authority you have.

Three things are separate, and you can ask for any or all of them: stopping future posts (pause publishing, or disconnect), ending any paid plan once billing exists, and deleting data. Asking us to delete data is not by itself an instruction to close your account, and closing an account does not pull down posts already published.

What we do with the request, and when

We identify what is covered, stop the related processing where we have to, and delete it — tokens, profile identifiers, imported platform data, stored media and drafts, and the records derived from them, according to what you asked and what we are allowed to process. We instruct our processors to apply the request to the copies they hold for us. We act without undue delay and inside the legal and platform deadlines, and we tell you when it is done, what you need to do next, or the lawful reason a part of it cannot be done. To check progress, reply on the same email thread.

The active-system deletion periods, the backup cycle and the few records kept on purpose are listed under “How long we keep it” in the privacy policy. A shorter deadline set by law or by a platform beats our general schedule.

Meta data specifically. When you remove TAEONA in your Facebook or Instagram settings, when you or the business you work for asks for deletion, or when Meta requires it, we delete the covered platform data promptly as Meta's terms require — in the live database and in our processors' copies. The one exception is the one stated above: after an in-app Disconnect, the record of posts already published stays with your workspace until the post or the workspace is deleted, or you ask us to clear it. We do not keep platform data under a general claim of business interest.

Posts already published, and the platform's own records

We can act on what we hold. A post that is already live on Instagram, TikTok, X or anywhere else belongs to that platform's records: remove it with that platform's own controls, or ask that platform directly about the information it holds. Deleting your data here does not make a third party remove a copy they obtained independently.
